David Osborne (aka Puncture Kit) is a solo drummer, artist and composer working within experimental music that pushes boundaries while inviting contemplation, sensitivity, and emotional depth. Rhythm sits at the centre of his practice—not only as propulsion, but as texture, space, and narrative.
His work is influenced by artists such as Dirty Three, Slint, June of 44, Bluebottle Kiss, and classical music, blending raw intensity with restraint. Drawing on jungle rhythms and jazz-inspired minimalism, David explores repetition, tension, and dynamic contrast, using percussion as a primary expressive voice.
David has been playing drums since the age of eight and has toured extensively throughout Australia, where he is originally from. In the UK, he has supported artists including The Prodigy, Florence + The Machine, The Chemical Brothers and The National. Alongside his solo work, David is the drummer for the math/jazz/punk band Holy Clang.
He is based in Brighton, UK.
